Classrooms
We have adequate classroom space. The Senior room is a large double teaching space. A generous verandah is used for arts and crafts and outdoor learning. The Junior room is well resourced and also has a wide verandah area used for outdoor learning.
In addition to the general classroom spaces, a separate room is set up as a dedicated teaching space for Languages Other Than English (LOTE) and Health. There is a dedicated building for music and the arts.
All classrooms are equipped with laptops and iPads and have a smartboard/TV for digital sessions. The school is air-conditioned throughout.
Library
The school library is a tranquil space within our school. The library is open at lunchtimes to offer an alternative space for students to study and play. It is a classroom-sized room with many Junior, Senior and Non-Fiction books on offer as well as home to our Lego club and art activities.
Rotating displays are put up to coincide with book events throughout our school calendar. The highlight of the library year is Book Week and Book Fair.
Administration office and Principal's office
The Administration and Principal’s Offices are located upstairs in the main building and are well signed from the main entry.
Tuckshop/Kitchen building
Our school is very fortunate to have a large and separate tuckshop and kitchen area. This building is regularly used for fortnightly Tuckshop, Student Council Treat Days and as a learning area for classes to experience cooking. The kitchen is fully fitted and has serving windows at the front.
Play spaces
Ovals
As well as a large Main Oval, our school also has a Top and Side Oval. Ovals are used for daily exercise and play and serve as a venue for Small Schools’ Carnival practice days and Activity Days.
Playgrounds
Our school has two main playgrounds: a Senior playground and a Junior playground. The Junior playground has a fort and play space as well as a large covered sandpit. There is also a cubby house for home themed play. In the play area is also a large cement pad used for handball and other games. In summer, this space is used for wet play investigations by the Juniors.
Multi-purpose courts
At the western end of our school we have a fully enclosed multi-purpose court used for tennis, basketball, netball and HPE activities.
Undercover area
The Undercover Area is well-used for ball games and skipping as well as for our weekly Parades and special occasions.
Sports shed
We have a large shed dedicated to sports equipment.
Gardens
Wooroolin State School is very proud of the kitchen gardens. The fresh produce from these gardens is entered into the Kingaroy & Wondai agricultural shows for which students have received multiple prizes. This space is also used as a learning area for students. Our students also participate in garden lunchtime clubs to rake leaves and weed gardens to keep our grounds looking at their best.
Lower buildings
Our Lower buildings include the Cleaner’s Room and Storage Room. The under-the-building space is used for play and as a sitting area on wet days as well as the Bus waiting space.
